He also offered suggestions on where to surf that’s appropriate for each level surfer. I rented a 9’6” glassed board for 3 days to surf San-O, and swapped it for a 9’0 softtop for two days surfing at Doheny. Came w a leash and some wax. Matt’s reliable and easy to reach by phone. 5 ⭐️
Matt hooked us up with a package deal for everything you need at the beach. He even switched out one of the boards no questions asked when we asked for a different one. Use this place for beach chairs, umbrellas, body and surf boards!

Today I had an epic adventure! I was in town for work and on my day off I spontaneously decided to go to the beach and surf for the day, but I didn’t have any gear with me. I needed a board and a wetsuit and Matt helped to make that happen! He responded quickly and he made the process super simple and smooth. We were very excited to see our 13 year old grandson pop up on his surf board on his first attempt. The instructor was very positive and encouraging. It was a great experience! We rented equipment the next day and he could surf on his own.

Great experience. We took a single session from John and the beginners were worked through the fundamentals to be able to catch waves on their own. We then rented stuff for the next few days to surf on our own and Matt guided us on where and when to go. Absolutely standup guys. Recommend them for any type of surfer. They’ll get you right.

There I was, 5 or 6 cars away from going through the gate at San Onofre. At exactly 8:30 I called the shop and asked for a board and wetsuit rental. It was my very first time attempting to surf! 10 minutes later they pulled up with a board and wetsuit, just in time. I highly recommend that you use them!!!

My friend and I walked in and asked for board rentals They and got us in the water in 20 minutes to get some surfing before the tide came all the way in. He made sure we could paddle out, time a green wave, and pop up. The next day he looked up the surf report for us and sent us down to Old Man’s and told us to paddle all the way out to catch the first breakers and ride the longest waves. They really helped us make the most of the situation at our beginner skill level, and we really benefitted from his long local experience. P.S. get the booties, because the stingrays are nasty without them.

We were able to return the equipment after hours at 8pm which was awesome, otherwise we wouldn’t have had much time to surf. Owner is sick dude, flew into ONT radar run down to San Clamemte, homie got me set-up with a solid fun board and pointed me to the best current break. 10 min later got to rip for about an hour, dropped board off and headed into the mountains. Dude gives a shit 12/10.
